Melanie Roberts, DVM

Dr. Melanie (Receveur) Roberts grew up in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. She completed her pre-veterinary curriculum and veterinary doctorate curriculum at Purdue University and the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Her veterinary school experience includes externships at Jefferson Emergency Animal Hospital and at the Avian and Exotic Animal Clinic in Indianapolis with Dr. Angela Lennox. After graduation, she moved to Auburn, Alabama to be with her husband, Dr. Jim Roberts, and practiced in a hospital there for two years.

In April of 2000, Dr. Melanie Roberts relocated to Jeffersonville and joined the Allison Lane Animal Hospital team. She has extensive experience with medicine and surgery for dogs and cats and especially enjoys internal medicine as well as geriatric care. She believes in trying to make the veterinary experience as low stress as possible for all animals. Dr. Roberts also has a special interest in “exotic” pets of all kinds and has done extensive work with birds, reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, pocket pets, and wildlife. She has worked with tigers, black leopards, otters, deer, foxes, skunks, ducks, chickens, peacocks, and degus.

Dr. Melanie Roberts enjoys traveling, reading, painting, movies, and community service with the 501st/Rebel Legion.

Anna Lyons, Veterinary Technician

Anna Lyons is our registered veterinary technician. She graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 2013 and an associate’s degree in Veterinary technology in 2015.

She had been working with us during summer breaks during school, and joined our team full time in February 2016.

Anna loves spending time with her husband, reading, crafting and anything Disney. She is also a 4-H leader for the Tunnel Mill Tigers 4-H club here in Clark county.
